V, 18. I decided when I was 3 that I wanted to write "those long books" and I haven't changed my mind yet, so I'm pretty sure that's what I'm gonna do. I've published short stories in a local writing magazine. I m interested in science fiction, almost exclusively. I mean, I'll read anything (except for romance) as long as it has some kind of sci-fi aspect to it. I especially like epistolary-style works (like the Illuminae Files Series) and stories told in non-chronological order. Honestly, I need to be humbled a bit. I've been told by four separate English teachers that I was the best writer in their class, but I'm fairly certain this is only because I never make grammar mistakes—if I break the rules I'm doing it on purpose and for a reason. (I literally used to call myself the Grammar Queen in elementary school. I'm not even joking. If you ever need someone to check your grammar, I'm your girl.) I would like to send someone (preferably someone older and more experienced) some of my shorter pieces and then have them just...absolutely torn apart. My writing and I have been doted over way too often; I need to get it through my head that I still have a lot to learn and that I'm going to face rejection when I start trying to publish my longer works. [I don't use discord; you can reach me through my email vjkerrigan522@gmail.com or through my reddit, significantharasment.]
